Lifetime Limited Warranty

Mirror Works Inc. provides a Lifetime Limited Warranty on the workmanship of our installation services. This warranty covers the original purchaser at the original installation address and is non-transferable. It applies to all work performed by Mirror Works Inc., provided the product has been maintained and used in accordance with industry standards and our cleaning and care instructions.

Covered Items

This warranty includes but is not limited to:

• Professional installation of shower glass, mirrors, railings, and other custom glasswork.

• All forms of glass and mirror installations performed by Mirror Works Inc.

• Hardware that is deemed faulty, defective, or malfunctioning due to manufacturing defects or improper installation.

Warranty Coverage

Mirror Works Inc. will, at its discretion, repair or replace faulty or defective installation work or hardware as long as it falls within the terms of this Lifetime Limited Warranty. Hardware replacement is subject to availability from manufacturers.

Normal Wear and Tear on Glass Products

Glass is a durable but sensitive material. Over time, the following may naturally occur and are considered normal wear and tear:

• Minor surface scratches

• Small chips or abrasions not caused by impact

• Discoloration of silicone, caulking, or sealants

• Staining or spotting caused by hard water or soap residue

• Accumulation of dirt or limescale

Tempered glass may shatter unexpectedly in rare circumstances. This phenomenon is often due to internal impurities in the glass and is known as "spontaneous breakage." While rare, it is a recognized characteristic of tempered safety glass as noted by industry research.

Additionally, the silver backing of mirrors is warrantied for 1 year. Silver deterioration is commonly caused by high moisture environments (such as bathrooms) and improper cleaning product use.

Glass and Mirror Cleaning Guidelines

Proper care helps extend the life and clarity of your glass and mirrors.

Shower Glass:

• Clean once weekly with mild soap and water.

• Avoid products containing ammonia, acids, or abrasive materials as they can damage hardware and sealants.

• Squeegee after every use to prevent hard water stains and mineral build-up.

 Mirrors:

• Clean as needed using a non-ammonia glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth.

• Do not spray directly on the edges - spray the cloth instead.

• Always dry the edges after cleaning to prevent damage to the silver backing.

• Bathroom condensation will accelerate deterioration of the mirror backing- good ventilation is recommended.

 All Other Glass:

• Use standard glass cleaners and microfiber cloths.

• Mirror Works can supply both upon request, or you can find them at your local retailer.

 Warranty limitations

This warranty does not apply in the following cases:

• Glass breakage due to impact or misuse

• Damage caused by external contractors or trades

• Incorrect maintenance or cleaning methods

• Use of abrasive or ammonia-based cleaning products

• Changes in building structure causing stress to installed products

• Modifications or tampering after installation.
